935. K Is for Karate Haiku

I love karate
Crisp white robes are appealing
Who must iron them?

  1. I imagine the mom must iron them, right? At least that's who ironed my daughters uniform when she was in martial arts. Of course if I took them out of the dryer fast enough sometimes I didn't have to really, really iron them!

Great haiku! One of my favorite forms of poetry!

  2. I wish I knew some karate. I've never been all that athletic, but I admire the grace and strength of the practitioners.

    1. I only wish I knew "secret" karate...... the kind where I would never have to actually learn or practice, I would just automagically know the exact moves to do right as I am about to be mugged. Ha! My attacker would not know what kicked him!

  3. I'm just wondering, why does the uniform need to be ironed? Isn't the wearer of said uniform going to wrinkle it whilst performing the karate moves? Just a question from someone who rarely irons because she doesn't want to. ;-)

When you write a comment, it makes me feel like I won the lottery or at the very least like I ate an ice-cream sundae. (This has nothing to do with the fact that I did just eat an ice-cream sundae.)
